Frequently Asked Questions

When is the closing date for entries ?
The closing date for all entries is 11th September 2011.
 
Will late entries be accepted ?
No late entries will be accepted for any reason.
 
If I enter and cannot take part can someone else run in my place ?
No, unfortunately it is not possible to transfer your entry to another person.

When will I get my race number ?
Race numbers will be sent out a couple of weeks before the event, along with your race chip.

Where does the race start and finish ?
Start is on Cambridge Street close to Paradise Forum and finish opposite Centenary Square on Broad Street.

Where will  the We Are Making a Difference team  all meet
before the race ?
We are waiting for details from Birmingham City Council as to where we can set up our registration desk, once we have this information we will forward to you.

What is the start time ?
Race starts at 10am but you will obviously need to arrive earlier than that to check in etc.  Pay and Display parking is available at the National
Indoor Arena.

What do I do with my belongings ?
Inside the National Indoor Arena there will be a designated area.

Can my dog run with me ?
Runners cannot run with dogs unless they are guide dogs for the blind.

Can I run in Fancy Dress ?
Of course, just remember it is 13.1 miles !!!

How I need to advise anyone if I have a Medical Condition ?
If you feel the organisers need to be made aware of any medical condition they can be contacted on 0121 464 2012.

Are toilets and first aid facilities provided ?
Toilets and first aid is available along the route.  Locations will be detailed in the race day guide which you will receive nearer the time.

How will I find out my official time for the event ?
A chip timing system will be in operation.  When your chip and race number arrive you will need to attach your chip to your trainer securely before you start the race and hand it back at the end.

When will I receive my We Are Making a Difference t-shirt ?
In order to keep overheads down these will be given out on the day. The aim is to raise as much money for the charity as possible and we felt it was a unnecessary use of funds to post out everyones t-shirt, hope you agree.

I do not live in Birmingham, where can I stay ?
If you go onto www.visitbirmingham.com you can find details of hotels and bed and breakfast accommodation.
